Who is Gabrielle?
How My Career Started
Believe it or not–it all started by playing computer games that allowed me to customize layouts with HTML and CSS and write narratives for in-game characters. I even gained a reputation as “the one who made bomb MySpace layouts”. The ability to shape the web always excited me.
When I first learned about SEO, I was freelancing as a web developer for several browser-based games and volunteering as a moderator for a large gaming forum. For two years while I was in college I was mentored in SEO by the forum’s owner while I freelanced for 15 different clients.
I graduated with a B.A. in Marketing and Psychology and initially pursued web development until I was hired by Dynamic Creations, a SEO-focused e-liquid manufacturer whose profit margins I helped grow by 18%. Although Dynamic Creations ceased operations as a result of the e-liquid flavor legislation, my drive to help businesses grow did not.
What I Love About My Career
The challenges my career brings to utilize my technical, creative, and analytical abilities excite and fulfill me. It’s also a bonus to collaborate and meet the needs of people from diverse backgrounds and industries.
Challenges in tech keep the work interesting and the process of learning through trial and error sparks the exact type of learning and growth I sought in a career.
The problem-solving and ever-changing tech landscape keeps me on my toes–and most importantly–constantly learning. I am an active reader, a lifelong learner, Google Analytics 4 Certified, and a member of reputable marketing organizations.
